Tokihiro Sato is a contemporary and renowned photographer from Japan who has made through his artistic interpretation of light and space a name. He works with shutter speeds, which can last up to 1-3 hours. Points and rays are produced either by flashlight or by reflecting mirror, which he directs and focuses the sun’s rays onto the camera lens. This gives rise to individual light particles from carpets and sweeping light strands, which are scattered in landscapes, towns and abandoned houses. With its dancing lights Sato creates a feeling of space and depth.
